Salt is Banned in New York Restaurant

Salty food known may predispose high blood pressure. Avoid salt or sodium means love our heart. That is why New York Government whose having 1,5 million people with hypertension, planned to ban salt for all city restaurant. New York assembly member Felix Ortiz has introduced a bill which would lead to chefs being fined £665 every time they used salt in any of their recipe. It will be good for New Yorkers' health. But how about chefs? That was bad dream for them since salt is very essential to cook. How can they make delicious food without salt at all? A coalition of chefs, restaurant owners and consumers calling themselves 'My Food My Choice' has denounced the proposed ban as 'absurd'. Tom Colicchio, owner of Craft restaurant and star of U.S. TV show Top Chef, said: 'If they banned salt, nobody would come here any more.'Restaurants would still be allowed to leave salt cellars on tables. But New York has already banned artery-blocking transfats in restaurants. It is also considering a tax on soft drinks.
What do you think? Many people like salty food and oppositely only few people who can avoid salt in their food. In other side, our body need about 500 milligrams of salt everyday for your body to function. Most people take in about 10 times that amount daily. The recommended amount of salt for people with high blood pressure is about 1500 milligrams a day. So what do youb think know? Are you choosing to reduce or removing salt Every rule made has their own positive and negative effect. But for me myself, reduce salt is better than removing it at all
